The Okavango Delta is the world’s largest inland delta and a miracle of nature. This oasis of islands and waterways flowers in the middle of the arid Kalahari Desert. Guided dugout canoe (mokoro) trips take you into the heart of  the delta and up close to excellent game viewing and bird watching. This remarkable region is a Wetland of International Importance (RAMSAR  site) due to its unique ecosystem. Most visitors to Botswana rate the  Okavango Delta as the highlight of their trip and it is not hard to see  why. In terms of pristine beauty, remote location and rich diversity of  animal and bird life, the Okavango Delta is unbeatable.

The Selinda Reserve is a 320 000 acre private wildlife sanctuary. The famous Selinda Spillway, which links the Okavango Delta in the west to the linyanti and Kwando wetlands and rivers in the east, meanders through the area. This exceptional river can flow in both directions, depending on where water levels are highest. Abundant wildlife is attracted to the vast floodplains and grasslands along the river, with large numbers of elephant and vast herds of buffalo congregating around the Zibadianja Lagoon in the dry winters. Predator viewing is also exceptional, including lion, leopard, wild dog and cheetah.
