This adventure starts and ends in Jomo Kenyatta International airport in Kenya.

Day 1

Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you will be met by member from the &Beyond team who will drive you to Hogmead. Kenya’s capital is one of the largest and most influential cities in Africa, an important commercial and financial hub. It is the port of entry for most travellers to Kenya and offers bustling markets, interesting history and numerous attractions. Named after a Maasai watering hole, “enkare nyarobi”, which means “place of cool waters”, Nairobi is known for its leafy streets and parks. The skyline, with towering skyscrapers and imposing architecture also draws one’s attention soon after arriving in the city. Not-to-be-missed are visits to the city’s beautiful Uhuru Park and an informative excursion to the Karen Blixen Museum. Relax for 1 night at Hogmead Hotel in a Standard room. Your stay includes bed and breakfast.

Day 2

After a delicious breakfast you will be driven to Wilson Airport for your scheduled flight to Samburu. From the airstrip you will be transferred to Samburu Intrepids. The best feature of Samburu is not the wildlife or the picturesque surroundings, but the fact that it is one of the lesser-visited regions in Kenya. The peaceful atmosphere and the authentic wilderness experience set it apart from the better-known wildlife reserves in the country. Situated on the banks of the Ewaso Ngíro River, with its palm groves and dense forests, there is plentiful wildlife and the bird watching is especially good. The rest of the reserve is fairly hot and semi-arid, making for easy game viewing. Enjoy 2 nights at Samburu Intrepids in a tent with ensuite bathroom with shower only. Your stay includes accommodation, three meals daily, return transfers, servic charge and 2 game drives per day.

Day 4

You will be collected from Samburu Intrepids and transferred by road to Lewa Safari Camp.

Once a cattle ranch, and then a sanctuary for endangered black rhino, the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy is now a 26 300 hectare (65 000 acre) privately-owned wilderness area. Situated in northern Kenya, the Conservancy is home to Africa’s Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino) and supports over 440 bird species and more than 70 different mammals. Here, guests can also witness rare game such as the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe and sitatunga. The semi-desert environment boasts beautiful views of the snow-capped peaks of Mt Kenya to the south, and to the north, views of Samburu and Ololokwe.

Experience 2 nights at Lewa Safari Camp in a room with ensuite bathroom with shower only. Your stay includes accommodation, three meals daily, soft drinks, beer, house wine, non-luxury spirits, Lewa airstrip transfers, game drives, guided bush walks, bush breakfast and sundowners, limited laundry.

Day 6

Enjoy and early morning game drive and breakfast before you board your scheduled flight to Kichwa Airstrip. Upon landing enjoy a short game to &Beyond Kichwa Tembo Masai Mara Tented Camp.

The Masai Mara is Kenya’s most renowned game park, situated in the northern extension of the Serengeti. Its legendary Great Migration, of over two million wildebeest and other antelope, has been described as one of nature’s greatest wildlife spectacles – and an experience every safari enthusiast should witness at least once in their lifetime. Game viewing in this celebrated park is wonderful all round the year, with virtually guaranteed sightings of the Big Five. The park takes its name from the Mara River, which flows through the reserve, and the Maasai people, a tribe whose red dress and proud demeanour have ensured they are probably Kenya’s best-known (and most-photographed) people.

Experience 2 nights at &Beyond Kichwa Tembo Masai Mara Tented Camp in classic safari tent with ensuite bathroom with shower only. Your stay includes accommodation, three meals daily, teas and coffees, two scheduled game drives per day, transfers to and from Kichwa Tembo airstrip and emergency medical evacuation insurance.

Day 8

Enjoy an early morning game drive and breakfast before we wave a fond farewell as you make your way back to the airstrip. From here, you will board your scheduled flight to Wilson Airport, where you will be picked up by a member from the &Beyond team who will drive you to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, for your onward flight.
